The American Society of Military Comptrollers
Buckeye Chapter President's Message

Can you believe it is
November already? The weather is getting chilly and the colors of the trees
are an amazingly beautiful sight, but there are two special days that we
celebrate during this month.
November 11th we
celebrate Veterans Day and according to a proclamation by the President of
the United States, “On Veterans Day, we come together to pay tribute to the
men and women who have worn the uniform of the United States Armed Forces.
Americans across this land commemorate the patriots who have risked their
lives to preserve the liberty of our Nation, the families who support them
and the heroes no longer with us”. (http://www.va.gov/opa/vetsday/docs/2010veteransdayProc.pdf)
It is a great day to recognize and support our Military men and women who
are serving and have served the United States of America.
And then of course, there is
Thanksgiving Day. This is a time to offer thanks, enjoy time with our family
and friends and of course, savor the holiday meals. Thanksgiving Day also
offers us the opportunity to focus our thoughts on the grace and goodwill
that has been extended to the people of our country.
I want to personally express
appreciation to all of you for being a part of the ASMC family as well as
being part of my life. My life has been enriched by those of you who share
yourself and your time with me. Have a very Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy the
time you have with your family and those people who enrich your lives.
Lisa Snyder,
ASMC Buckeye Chapter President
